Lesson 9: Persuading Your Target Audience
In this lesson students will explore how to effectively persuade elected officials by using examples of social media posts, testimony, and more as well as, identifying claims, evidence, and reasoning.
Support claim(s) with logical reasoning and relevant evidence, using accurate, credible sources and demonstrating an understanding of the issue or text.
Analyze the purpose of information presented in diverse media and formats (e.g., visually, quantitatively, orally) and evaluate the motives (e.g., social, commercial, political) behind its presentation.
