Lesson 6: Analyzing Power
In this lesson students will learn about the idea of power, analyze how different forms of power may impact their issue and begin to get some peer feedback on their writing.
Evaluate a speaker’s point of view, reasoning, and use of evidence and rhetoric, assessing the stance, premises, links among ideas, word choice, points of emphasis, and tone used.
Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research
Evaluate citizens’ and institutions’ effectiveness in addressing social and political problems at the local, state, tribal, national, and/or international level
