Unit 1: Launching Your Student Voice Committee

In this first phase of the Student Voice Committee’s work, students will develop an understanding of the role and expectations of the Student Voice Committee, begin establishing a sense of community amongst committee members, and assess the leadership assets of the individuals on the committee.

NOTE: You may want to add more community-building activities from the SVC Facilitator Strategies appendix in the Getting Started section to continue to build the strength of the group as you begin to form. Additional sessions may also be necessary if recruitment is ongoing. See the resources in "Getting Started" for tips on recruitment and more.
