Conduct research and develop solution ideas

Unit 3: Conduct Research and Develop Solution Ideas

After the students and the administration have decided on an issue(s) to explore, students must conduct research. Research includes: analyzing the root causes; gathering community opinions and ideas through surveys, interviews, and focus groups; and interviewing experts on the issue. Many options for research are provided here with the understanding that your SVC will choose the one(s) that best fit its issue(s) and needs.

Once students have gathered information on their issue, they will generate ideas for solutions by looking at what other schools/communities are doing to address the issue and generating their own ideas.
