Lesson 8: The First 100 Days (The 2020 Transition)
Students will identify what they think should be the top priorities for the new President and Vice President of the United States and how they should use their first 100 days to make an impact. Students will also explore the idea of political capital.
Write arguments to support claims in an analysis of substantive topics or texts, using valid reasoning and relevant and sufficient evidence.
Initiate and participate effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grades 11-12 topics, texts, and issues, building on others' ideas and expressing their own clearly and persuasively.
