In this lesson students will explore how to effectively persuade elected officials by using examples of social media posts, testimony and more and identifying claims, evidence and reasoning.
Support claim(s) with logical reasoning and relevant evidence, using accurate, credible sources and demonstrating an understanding of the topic or text.
Analyze the purpose of information presented in diverse media and formats (e.g., visually, quantitatively, orally) and evaluate the motives (e.g., social, commercial, political) behind its presentation.
