Lesson 1: I Am a Writer (Finding Your Writing Voice)- Day 1 of 2

In this lesson, students will explore their own background, experience and feelings towards writing and examine what makes different kinds of writing persuasive and effective.

Note: this lesson could be done over two days, allowing more time for students to evaluate a variety of writing and time to prepare for the role play, brainstorming for the role play responses on day one and having a larger conversation on day 2.
